Single-leaf flap gate: Water retaining part is consisted of concrete components (steel door, pier and outrigger); bolted joints of various specifications (rollers, guide plates, connecting rod components, rubber sealing parts) forms into moving parts of gates; two parts make up overall gate. Gates can be used with single fan or multi-fan.

Flap gate performance: When upstream traffic increases, water level of gate upstream raises, the torque of hydrodynamic pressure to fulcrum is greater than that of door mass and various damping to fulcrum. When shutter automatically opens at a certain angle, it can’t reach a new balance of traffic until the two torques are equal. Opening angle remains unchanged if traffic is constant. When upstream flow decreases to a certain extent, the torque of hydrodynamic pressure to fulcrum is greater than that of door mass and various damping to fulcrum. Then, hydraulically automatic flap gate will turn back to a certain angle by itself. Thus, it will reach a new balance of traffic.
